Last weekend, my friend Marc was in town and I got to spend 48 hours immersed in the Industrial/EBM scene again.  I can wear it like an old motorcycle jacket.  It’s timeless, comfortable, and I’m not too fat to zip it up.   That led to pulling out all the old @necto wax from 86 to 94, including all the @razormaid vinyl, which was one of the only ways to get dark synth and EBM back then.   That led to a severe and dedicated effort  to organize the collection, which led to an aborted attempt to spin a downtempo industrial set.   … Read the rest

Working on adding some form of 21st century communication to this rather derelict and disused website.   The “without borders” concept is going to stretch, so that it means removal of borders between styles, genres, and media.   This is high-concept, ad-copy way of saying “shit that amuses me for some reason or other.”

It’s part history lesson (because I’m bloody ancient), part diary, and part notepad, and also a look inside a mind warped by both Cold War and Post-9/11 sensibilities, if you can call them that.  Enjoy.… Read the rest
